Chapter 1120: Unspeakable Secrets
Chapter 1120: Unspeakable Secrets
"He’s gone now, can’t you just leave him some dignity and save face for the Walyons?"
She scolded fiercely, every word shouted with anger.
Summer Sutton didn’t know how to respond, yet she assumed Summer didn’t take her seriously at all and pressed down on the hand holding the steak knife, "I’m talking to you, did you hear me? I’m telling you, as long as you’re still with the Walyon Family, I have the right to interfere with your matters!"
Her grip was intense, shaking Summer’s hand vigorously, causing the knife to slip and nearly stab her.
Watt Bennet reacted swiftly, lunging forward to catch the knife just in time.
Slowly raising his face, he stared fixedly at Diana Wood, seemingly enraged with an icy and piercing gaze.
He still wore a mask, obscuring his face, but Diana could only see his cold, frost-like eyes beneath it.
Just one look from him subdued Diana, causing her to retreat a few steps awkwardly.
She actually disliked Watt as well; she despised anyone who brought shame to the Walyons.
However, after locking eyes with Watt, her chest burned with anger, yet she couldn’t muster it against him.
Their gaze briefly met, and Diana felt there seemed no need to fear him.
What was there to fear?
She had the Walyons behind her, why fear Shining Sky?
With this thought, Diana gathered her courage.
"Summer Sutton, I’m talking to you!" Diana grabbed Summer’s hand, trying to pull her out of her seat, but just as she moved, Watt unexpectedly clamped down on her wrist.
His grip was firm, seemingly close to crushing her.
With one hand holding her wrist, he pushed her away forcefully.
Diana stumbled back several steps, her unsteady body crashing into a table behind her.
She hit it hard, collapsing to the ground in pain, feeling as if her bones were falling apart.
"You brat! I’m talking to my Walyons, who asked you to interfere?" Diana rubbed her sore bruised waist, pointing at Watt and started cursing angrily.
Watt ignored her, walked over to Summer, and bent down to examine her hand injury, "Are you alright?"
Summer shook her head.
Perhaps fearing Diana might stir up more trouble, Watt pushed Summer to the seat by the window, placing himself on the outer side.
Diana was still sitting on the ground, and he showed no inclination to pay her any mind.
Diana glared at him for a while, then gritted her teeth and got up from the floor.
"Brat! Brat!" She didn’t leave, standing with her hands on her hips and cursed Watt repeatedly.
Having come all this way without properly confronting Watt felt like a loss to her.
Standing aside, she began to stare at Watt stealthily.
In truth, Diana wanted to see how Watt could measure up to Adrian Walyon.
Her gaze fell on his masked face, her brows furrowing multiple times.
Why wear a mask like that?
In broad daylight, apart from him, who would be like this?
The more she thought about it, the more she found Watt abnormal.
Could he have a shameful identity?
Or perhaps disfigured?
But, considering Summer was with him, if he were disfigured, surely Summer wouldn’t develop feelings so quickly, right?
Swiftly dismissing this latter speculation, Diana felt that Watt must harbor some unspeakable secret to be like this.
