Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived

Chapter 108 Fire Dragon

Chapter 108 Fire Dragon

"Impossible," Ron said, shaking his head. "Absolutely impossible. How could Viktor do such a thing? Why did he attack Aes?"

"But he did it, Ron," said Harry. "Without any warning, and if Aeris hadn't conjured a shield wall in time, he would have been hit..."

Harry was really fed up with the strange looks from his classmates in the hall. At his strong suggestion, the four friends sat in an inconspicuous corner of the common room and enjoyed their dinner.

"After all, Grindelwald is not a respectable surname," said Aris. "I have learned about my grandfather's heinous crimes in Modern History of Magic. He even killed babies in their cradles..." Aris couldn't go on.

Hermione, who was sitting next to him, patted Aes' shoulder gently. Aes went on to say, "From what Viktor said, it seemed that my grandfather killed his grandfather."

After dinner, Hermione brought out a pile of books from somewhere and piled them in front of Aris, Harry and Ron.

"What are you doing?" said Ron unhappily. "I don't need these for my homework."

"We need to help Aries and Harry, find useful spells, antidotes, and all kinds of possible magical tests," Hermione said as a matter of course, "As their best friend, shouldn't you do your best to help them?"

Ron opened his mouth but said nothing. He just listlessly flipped the pages of the book in front of him. Harry obviously had no interest in reading either, and flipped the pages at random. Only Aries and Hermione were reading with great interest, discussing something in a low voice from time to time.

Nothing happened that night, and in the following days, the four friends would spend most of their spare time in the library. Sometimes Draco would bring Pansy Parkinson to join in the fun.

"I don't think this is going to work," said Ron irritably. "We don't have a clear goal, do we? What's the first match of the Triwizard Tournament going to be about... Merlin's beard, Viktor..."

Viktor walked into the library listlessly, glanced at Hermione intentionally or unintentionally, then took some books, sat not far away and began to read. His sitting position was very clever, as he could see Hermione but would not attract Hermione's attention.

A group of girls gathered around Victor, chattering about something in low voices.

Ron said with some rapid breathing, "If I go over and ask for his autograph, will he agree?"

"Shut up, Ron," Hermione said rudely, "The safety of your friends is much more important than your stupid signature. Don't go... Really, can't he just take the books he wants to read on their ridiculous big ship? Every time he shows up in the library, he causes a riot..."

Hermione complained quietly. Aris gave Hermione a strange look and whispered, "Maybe his purpose is not to read the book, but to see someone. It's definitely not those chattering girls. They don't really like Viktor, but they are just doing it for their ridiculous vanity. It's definitely not me and Harry. We are rivals. The probability of it being Ron is infinitely zero, so who is he really looking at? Look at where he is sitting. It's obvious, isn't it?"

Edwards looked at Hermione with a half-smile, which made Hermione feel a little uncomfortable. "Our Hermione is also a very charming girl!" Edwards said with emotion.

"Pah! Pah! Pah!" Hermione said angrily, "Who is your family?"

"A very attractive girl?" Ron said with a strange look on his face. "You really should let Madam Pomfrey see your eyes, Aeris. Hermione has nothing to do with the word attractive, right? If you hadn't reminded me, I would have thought Hermione was a boy..."

Before Ron could finish his words, Hermione had already taken out her wand, gently stroking it with her fair fingers, looking at Ron with a half-smile.

Ron smiled awkwardly, quickly covered his face with a book and stopped talking.

The weekend before they could go to Hogsmeade arrived, and Hermione insisted that everyone go to the library to look up information that might help them with the competition.

"Go to Hogsmeade and relax, Hermione!" said Aris. "If you keep going like this, not to mention Harry, Ron will almost collapse mentally."

"Good buddy!" Ron said. Hearing Hermione's request to go to the library together, Ron, who was originally a little dejected, instantly became energetic.

"Let's go to Hogsmeade, Hermione," Harry said.

"Okay!" Hermione compromised, "But I want to bring my SPEW badge. I really hope to meet like-minded people in Hogsmeade..."

"Why don't we just not go..." Ron said sullenly, and Hermione glared at him fiercely.

After having fun in Hogsmeade village for a while, everyone's depressed mood improved a lot, and they finally came to the Three Broomsticks Inn.

Harry chose an inconspicuous corner, and the four companions chatted and sipped butterbeer until a huge figure enveloped them.

"Hi! Hagrid!" The four companions greeted the newcomer, and it was Hagrid who came over.

"I didn't expect to see you guys here," Hagrid said, "How have you been?"

"It's not very good," Hermione said pretending to be wronged, "We want to help Aries and Harry, but we don't know where to start. We don't even know what the first game is. Alas..."

"Listen," Hagrid said in a very low voice, "Tonight, after nightfall, find a way to sneak out of the castle and come to the hunting grounds. Don't ask any more questions. Only Aeris and Harry will come. Hermione and Ron, don't follow. Remember... I'm really glad to see you here..."

After saying that, Hagrid walked away on his own. There was another person next to his table. Professor Moody was also looking at Aeris and Harry.

"Why is Hagrid so secretive?" Ron asked puzzled. "Why did he ask you to go to his place at night?"

"You'll know when you get there..." Aris said thoughtfully, "It may be related to the first game..."

At night, Harry took out his invisibility cloak from the bottom of his suitcase. Aris and Harry put it on together, and under the cover of Hermione and Ron, they left the common room. Aris cast a small magic to cover up their footsteps.

They arrived at the hunting ground smoothly. Hagrid was already there. Madame Maxime held Hagrid's sturdy arm affectionately, but there didn't seem to be anything wrong.

"What on earth did Hagrid call us over for?" Harry whispered. "To see them show off their affection?"

"The wind in the hunting grounds is very strong today!" Aesop answered irrelevantly and looked up at the sky.

Harry also looked up at the sky blankly. A huge shadow was approaching. It was a huge cage with a fire dragon sleeping inside.

There were four wizards, two leading the way, and the other two following behind, holding wands and controlling the cage to float, and they all rode specially made brooms.

With a loud bang, the huge cage fell to the ground. Ron's second brother, Charlie came over and talked to Hagrid, looking at Madame Maxime with a strange look from time to time.

When Madame Maxime's attention was attracted by the dragon in the cage and she walked towards the cage, Aeris and Harry's heads appeared.

"Our first game is a dragon fight?" Harry said in disbelief. "Are you sure this is not a joke, Hagrid?" Hagrid looked around quickly.

"Get back here!" Hagrid said hastily. "You shouldn't be here. Go back when you've seen enough. No need to say goodbye to me..."

Aeris and Harry quickly put on their invisibility cloaks, and six large cages were dropped on the open space in the hunting grounds. A giant dragon they called "Hungarian Treepeak" woke up, causing the transporters to panic.

After seeing the ferocity of the dragon, Aeris patted Harry on the shoulder and said, "Come on, Harry, we should go back!"

Harry came back to his senses and followed Aries towards the castle in a daze.

On the way, they saw the sneaky Headmaster Karkaroff. Aeris and Harry hid in the shadows. They waited until Headmaster Karkaroff walked away before they quickened their pace again and walked towards the castle.

When they returned to the common room, Hermione and Ron were waiting in a corner for Aeris and Harry.

Harry, holding the Invisibility Cloak in his arms, sat in an armchair in a daze, and Aries was also silent.

"What happened?" Ron couldn't help but ask.

"The dragon," Aeris said, "Our first game is to cross the dragon. I guess, most likely, we will snatch something that is guarded by the dragon. I see your brother Charlie, Ron."

Hermione's face also turned ugly. She suddenly screamed, but immediately covered her mouth. "What's wrong?" Ron asked, looking around quickly.

"Sirius..." Hermione pointed in the direction of the fireplace, and Sirius' face appeared in the fire.

Harry jumped up, threw the Invisibility Cloak aside, and walked quickly over, followed by the others.

"Sirius, what are you..." Harry said breathlessly.

"No time for catching up, Harry," said Sirius. "I sneaked into a wizard's house. I'm not sure when they will be back. How did you become a champion in the Triwizard Tournament?"

Harry gave a rough outline of what had happened.

Aris pulled Hermione and Ron and said, "Give them some time alone, we'll go on alert..."

After a while, there was a noise at the entrance. Ron, who was guarding there, quickly shouted, "Who is still outside so late?"

Harry said a hasty farewell to Sirius.

Fred and George came in.

Fred looked at the people in different positions with a puzzled look on his face, and said slowly: "You are the ones. Why are you still not sleeping at this late hour?"

Ron said without giving in: "You guys are the same, hanging around outside after curfew..."

George said with disdain: "We're going to catch spiders. Do you want to see our results?" George took out a spider the size of a fist, which scared Ron so much that he took several steps back and almost sat on the ground.

"Got it?" Fred said. "Children shouldn't ask about adults' affairs."

"That's it..." George agreed, and the two of them walked back to their dormitory without caring about their relatives.
