Chapter 21 Traveling Again
Chapter 21 Traveling Again
"Are you really going to do this?" Li Ming frowned, worry in his eyes. He was her good friend, always by her side, supporting her every decision.
"I have to give it a try," she said firmly, with a determined glint in her eyes. "I want to know what it really felt like at that moment, maybe I can find some clues to help me understand my time travel experience."
Li Ming sighed, walked to her side, and put his hand on her shoulder: "But, what if you never come back? We don't know what consequences that kind of power will bring."
"I'll be careful." She turned her head and smiled to comfort him, "I'm ready. I'll set a time limit and be back in half an hour."
"Okay," Li Ming finally compromised, with a hint of helplessness and support in his eyes, "Then I'll wait for you here."
She took a deep breath and began to mix the complicated potions with skill and determination. With a slight puff of smoke, a strange fragrance filled the air, as if summoning some unknown power.
"I begin," she whispered, reciting the ancient spells in her mind. As her voice echoed, the surrounding environment began to distort, and the scene before her rose and fell like waves, as if tearing the curtain of reality.
"Remember to come back!" Li Ming's voice gradually became blurred in her ears until she was completely immersed in that strange energy. There was a bright light in front of her eyes, and then she fell into endless darkness.
When she opened her eyes again, everything around her had changed. She found herself in an ancient courtyard, surrounded by green bricks and tiles, with flowers planted in the yard, and the air was filled with the smell of soil and flowers. She was wearing an ancient costume, the texture of the clothes was soft, the colors were bright, and it seemed to blend in with the environment here.
"Who are you?" Suddenly, a crisp voice interrupted her thoughts. She turned around and saw a petite girl in a plain dress with a curious look on her face.
"I... my name is Xiaoya," she answered stutteringly, thinking to herself, have I really traveled through time to ancient times?
"Are you the new maid?" The girl blinked, seeming to have doubts about her identity.
"Well, I guess so." Xiaoya smiled slightly, trying to make herself look more natural. She looked around and found a small pavilion in the corner of the courtyard. Next to the pavilion was a stream with slight ripples on the water.
"My name is Chun'er, welcome here!" Chun'er said happily, with an innocent smile on her face, "This is the palace, you have to work hard!"
"Royal Palace?" Xiaoya was shocked. Did she really come to an ancient palace? She remembered Li Ming's words and felt a little uneasy, but more curious.
"Yes, the prince and princess are very kind, you will like it here." Chun'er took Xiaoya's hand and walked towards the pavilion, "Come on, I'll take you to see them!"
Although Xiaoya felt a little uneasy, she still followed Chun'er. She tried to keep herself calm and kept thinking about the purpose of her coming here.
Walking into the pavilion, a gentle man came into view, sitting at the table, playing with a scroll in his hands. He looked focused, and seemed to be indifferent to the noise outside.
"Your Highness, this is our new maid, Xiaoya." Chun'er introduced softly, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
The man raised his head, his eyes as gentle as water, with a hint of inquiry: "Hello, Xiaoya. Welcome to the palace."
"Hello, Your Highness." Xiaoya hurriedly saluted, thinking to herself that this prince was indeed elegant and had an extraordinary temperament.
"Where are you from?" The prince smiled slightly, seeming to be interested in her background.
"I... I come from far away." Xiaoya's voice trembled slightly, and she wondered in her heart whether she should reveal her identity.
"Far away?" A hint of curiosity flashed in the prince's eyes. "This is a really interesting place. I hope you can find your place here."
Xiaoya's heart was shaken, and she felt an inexplicable warmth. Perhaps, this time travel was not a simple experiment, but a new beginning.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." She smiled and secretly made up her mind to find her place in this strange world.
"Come on, Chun'er, take Xiaoya to get familiar with the palace." The prince waved his hand, and his gentle voice blew through Xiaoya's heart like a spring breeze. She missed their laughter and the warm village. So Chen Fang decided to try to travel through time again to find them.
"As long as I can find that circle of light, I will definitely be able to go back!" She silently said in her heart, her eyes determined. She turned the pages of the book, carefully looking for clues to travel through time, and finally found the spell she needed in an ancient poem. She closed her eyes and recited it in a low voice.
"The moon shines on the green stream, the stars are our companions, the door of time is now opened."
As her voice gradually rose, the air around her began to fluctuate, and the light surrounded her again. Chen Fang felt dizzy, and then the scene in front of her changed instantly. She stood in the fields of Qingxi Village, surrounded by familiar scenes, the sun shining on the golden rice, and the breeze blowing, bringing bursts of fragrance.
"I'm back!" she whispered excitedly, her heart full of anticipation.
"Chen Fang!" A clear voice came from behind her. She turned around and saw Xiaomei running towards her with a bright smile on her face.
"You're finally back!" Xiaomei threw herself into her arms and said excitedly, "We've all been waiting for you!"
"I miss you too!" Chen Fang felt warm in her heart and hugged Xiaomei tightly, "Where's Liu Hua? Where is he?"
"He is in the square at the entrance of the village, preparing a storytelling session with others!" Xiaomei said excitedly, holding Chen Fang's hand.
"Storytelling session!" Chen Fang's eyes sparkled, her heart full of anticipation. She followed Xiaomei all the way to the village entrance and saw that many villagers had gathered in the square, and everyone was busy setting up the venue.
"Liu Hua! Liu Hua!" Xiaomei shouted loudly, and Chen Fang couldn't help but shout along.
Not far away, a tall figure turned around. It was Liu Hua. He had a sunny smile on his face, and when he saw Chen Fang, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Chen Fang, you're back!" Liu Hua walked up quickly, his eyes full of joy, "I thought you wouldn't come again!"
"Why wouldn't I come?" Chen Fang replied with a smile, a warm feeling welling up in her heart, "I miss you guys!"
"We are preparing a storytelling session, you must come!" Liu Hua invited enthusiastically, "There will be many interesting stories tonight, and Xiaomei's singing!"
"Of course I will participate!" Chen Fang nodded in agreement, her heart full of anticipation.
As night falls, the village is illuminated by warm candlelight, the square is hung with colorful lights, and the air is filled with sweet fragrance. The villagers sit together, looking forward to the start of the storytelling session.
"I'll tell the first story tonight!" Xiaomei stood up with a confident smile on her face. She cleared her throat and began to tell a story about bravery and friendship. Her clear and pleasant voice attracted everyone's attention.
"Once upon a time, there was a little bird that was always afraid to fly..." Xiaomei's voice flowed like a stream. Chen Fang was fascinated by it, as if she was in that beautiful world.
"But its friends kept encouraging it and telling it how wonderful it is to fly..." Xiaomei's story gradually reached its climax, and Chen Fang's heart also rose and fell with the plot of the story.
"Finally, the little bird finally plucked up the courage, flew into the blue sky, and discovered a wider world!" Xiaomei's voice echoed in the square, and the villagers applauded and cheered one after another.
"What a great story!" Liu Hua praised, "Xiaomei's stories always touch people's hearts."
"Yes, I find it very touching too." Chen Fang smiled slightly, her heart filled with warmth.
The storytelling session continued, with villagers taking turns telling their stories, and laughter filled the entire square. Chen Fang was also infected by this atmosphere and felt extremely happy.
"Chen Fang, why don't you tell one too!" Liu Hua suddenly suggested, with anticipation gleaming in his eyes.
"Me? I can't tell stories..." Chen Fang hesitated, a blush on her face.
"It's okay, just talk about it casually, we are all looking forward to it!" Xiaomei encouraged.
"Okay, I'll try." Chen Fang took a deep breath, stood up, and silently told himself to stay calm.
"I want to tell a story about courage and dreams..." She said slowly, her voice gradually becoming firmer, and the villagers in front of her quieted down and listened quietly.
As she told the story, Chen Fang gradually found confidence, and every detail of the story came alive in her mind. She saw the encouraging eyes of Liu Hua and Xiao Mei, felt the expectations of the villagers around her, and her heart was filled with strength.
"No matter what difficulties we encounter, as long as we bravely pursue our dreams, we will be able to find our own light." Chen Fang's voice echoed in the night sky, warm and firm.
When the story ended, warm applause broke out in the square, and the villagers expressed their appreciation to her. Chen Fang was moved, and she knew that this was not only a journey through time, but also a spiritual growth.
"Great, Chen Fang!" Liu Hua said excitedly, "You spoke so well!"
"Thank you for your support!" Chen Fang replied with a smile, her heart filled with happiness.
