Chapter 428 Guild Headquarters
Chapter 428 Guild Headquarters
Li Weiwei stood beside him, wearing a blood-red dress and her long hair casually draped over her shoulders. She looked much more serious than Zhang Tianya, but the smile on her lips was equally undeniable.
Behind the two were several high-ranking members of the guild, but they were all waved away into the courtyard.
From afar, Zhang Tianya saw the approaching figure.
"Oh, you're here." He straightened up and gestured with his chin toward Li Weiwei beside him. "See? I told you he could use the teleportation array, right? You insisted he might just fly over."
Li Weiwei rolled her eyes at him: "I'm just guessing. Besides, so what if he flew over? It's not like he can't."
"That's true." Zhang Tianya shrugged. "But it's still better to use the teleportation array. At least we, as the hosts, will have a chance to greet them at the door."
As they spoke, Lin Tian had already approached.
Zhang Tianya took two steps forward and punched Lin Tian on the shoulder—of course, he didn't dare to hit him hard.
"Brother Lin Tian!" he grinned. "Long time no see."
Li Weiwei also stepped forward and nodded slightly: "Boss Lin Tian."
Lin Tian looked at the two familiar faces and nodded: "Long time no see."
Celia peeked out from behind Lin Tian and waved to the two of them: "Brother Tianya! Sister Weiwei!"
Zhang Tianya's eyes lit up: "Hey, Celia! Long time no see, you've gotten even more beautiful!"
Celia smiled, her eyes crinkling: "Brother Tianya, you're still so good with words!"
Li Weiwei smiled and waved to Celia, "Come here and let me see you."
Celia released Lin Tian's hand, ran to Li Weiwei, and let her look her over.
Li Weiwei reached out and touched her hair, smiling, "Hmm, you do look more energetic. Lin Tian didn't bully you, did he?"
"No, no!" Celia shook her head repeatedly. "Brother Tian is so good to me! It's just that sometimes he forgets to let me out..."
As she spoke, she gave Lin Tian a resentful glance.
Zhang Tianya laughed heartily: "Then he definitely deserves to be scolded. Such a beautiful succubus locked up in a pet space is such a waste!"
Lin Tian ignored him and looked down at the little white dog on his arm.
Xiao Bai lazily raised its eyelids, nodded to Zhang Tianya and Li Weiwei as a greeting, and then closed its eyes again to continue pretending to sleep.
Zhang Tianya clicked his tongue in amazement: "Xiao Bai's personality is still so... calm."
Li Weiwei chuckled: "That's just how he is. You've known him for a while now."
After exchanging pleasantries, Zhang Tianya stepped aside and gestured for them to come in and sit down: "Please come in and sit down. Don't stand at the door. You've probably been stared at enough on your way here."
Lin Tian nodded and stepped through the gate.
Celia held Li Weiwei's hand and followed behind, chattering away.
Walking beside Lin Tian, Zhang Tianya casually asked, "How's the preliminary round of the Multiverse Domination? I heard you were dominating in Region 58?"
"It's alright," Lin Tian said calmly, "but it's a bit of a waste of time."
Zhang Tianya's lips twitched: "A waste of time... Do you know what our guild's elites think of the 58th Division? They say it's hell mode. And you're telling me it's a waste of time?"
Lin Tian glanced at him: "You want to go?"
"No, no, no!" Zhang Tianya quickly waved his hands. "I don't want to be slaughtered by a monster like you. I made it into the top 100 in Division 32 by luck, that's enough for me."
Li Weiwei chimed in from behind, "I'm in Division 47, also in the top 100. I can't compare to you."
Lin Tian hummed in response, without saying anything more.
The group walked through the front yard and into the council hall of the War Alliance Guild.
The council chamber was not large, but it was decorated very elegantly.
There was a long table in the center, with several chairs around it.
A map of the area surrounding Luoxia City hangs on the wall, and several bookshelves in the corner are filled with various documents and scrolls.
The group took their seats.
Celia sat down next to Li Weiwei, looking around curiously.
Little White remained wrapped around Lin Tian's arm, motionless.
Zhang Tianya leaned back in his chair, crossed his legs, and asked, "So, how long do you plan to stay this time?"
"It depends," Lin Tian said. "Where is your training location?"
Zhang Tianya was taken aback for a moment, then realized: "You mean that level 35 monster map? It's east of Luoxia City, just over two mountains. It's a valley full of elite monsters around level 35, and there's a level 35 boss at the deepest part, perfect for training."
Li Weiwei added, "We've recently been organizing elite members to go in and grind monsters, and also to improve our teamwork. In the preliminary rounds of the Multiverse Conquest, teamwork experience is extremely important; we suffered quite a few losses because our teamwork wasn't smooth enough before."
Lin Tian nodded slightly: "What's the average level now?"
Zhang Tianya perked up: "I get so proud of this! Our guild's elite members have reached an average level of 29 after the preliminaries! And with the high-level equipment and items you provided before, each of them can now easily solo level 35 elite monsters!"
Li Weiwei chimed in, "The same goes for us at Crimson Romance. A few of our sisters had slightly inferior gear before, which made things a bit tough in the preliminaries. But now that we've switched to the gear you gave us, their stats have more than doubled. Yesterday, we even teamed up and did a round of runs, and it's much more efficient than before."
Lin Tian hummed in response, his expression remaining largely unchanged.
Seeing this, Zhang Tianya continued, "Moreover, our current elite members all have at least B-grade talent, and many have A-grade talent. With the equipment and items you gave us, in terms of combat power alone, they are in no way inferior to ordinary S-grade talent players."
He paused, then pointed to himself: "Take me for example. I have an S-rank talent, but if it really comes down to a fight, even without your equipment and items, I might not be able to beat some of our guild's main players."
Li Weiwei nodded: "It's the same on our side. Some of the sisters have A-grade talent, but with the equipment you gave them, their combat power has already surpassed mine."
After listening, Lin Tian remained silent for a few seconds.
Then he began, "So the problem now is?"
Zhang Tianya and Li Weiwei exchanged a glance.
Zhang Tianya scratched his head: "It's not really a problem... it's just that we feel it's a bit of a waste to just grind monsters. We want to find an opportunity for members of both guilds to practice teamwork together. After all, the next round of the Multiverse Conquest is a team competition, and we need to get used to cooperating with other guilds in advance."
Lin Tian hummed in agreement.
"It would be good to practice our teamwork."
The council chamber was silent for a few seconds.
Zhang Tianya suddenly spoke up: "By the way, you just said you 'have something for you,' what is it?"
