Chapter 41 Security Issues and Fire
Chapter 41 Security Issues and Fire
Everyone knows that in the apocalypse, all sorts of people will appear, but there will absolutely be no mage who can conjure a short, luminous spear by simply waving a staff. (Fran Dagger)
There won't be any knights who get beaten black and blue by zombies, kneeling on the ground with a bell or some kind of amulet stuck to their foreheads, and then have their injuries healed in a flash of light on the ground.
Having lived half his life as a staunch believer in scientific materialism, he now tells all witnesses that science is dead and fantasy should take its place.
These survivors couldn't help but sigh. First came the undead, then the mages and paladins. This already messed-up world had finally become something they didn't recognize!
"Send a few people to take these survivors to school."
But these killers have gone mad with murderous intent, and even if they hear something, they pretend they don't.
They will obey Li Wei's orders, but only a few—the same few—were not called on me.
Li Wei could only grab a few unlucky guys at random. He had no choice but to give Ash a break and send them back with a bitter face.
But halfway there, these people turned back, because they would soon encounter the resurrected killers rushing to the town, and the road was very safe, so they didn't need any escort.
Li Wei had been fighting since dawn until noon. Just as he came out of a fast food restaurant with supplies, a resurrected killer came to report.
"Boss, the flames in the campfire seem to be getting smaller!"
?
Li Wei glanced at the other warriors who were shouting and fighting wildly in the street. There was no need to control them at all, because they were impossible to control. So Li Wei walked away with peace of mind.
Before I could even feed you when we got back to school, I went to the faculty building and found the dormitories. There was a huge crowd gathered in front of the dormitories, making a lot of noise.
No one would turn into a zombie in broad daylight, so there were no guards around. They were all patrolling near the school wall, hoping that some foolish zombie would come along and give them a taste of its flesh.
When Li Wei got closer, he discovered that a female student, unable to bear the atmosphere of the apocalypse, had committed suicide by jumping off a building in despair.
Li Wei sighed. He knew that just sitting in the cafeteria wouldn't work. In the end, he was just too idle. He even had the mood to commit suicide. What a waste!
He pulled out a megaphone and shouted into the crowd.
"Go back, there's nothing to see. If anyone wants to die, remember to sign up with us. We absolutely guarantee a painless brain puncture, and we'll even provide a one-stop service for your funeral arrangements."
Jumping to your death is actually very painful. If you hit your head, it's okay, but if not, the impact will shatter all your bones, and you'll die from the pain. Remember! Don't jump.
"If you want to die, just sign up with us. The guards will be happy to help you. You can choose any way you want to die. Besides the weapons the guards have, you'll need to bring your own ropes, steel bars..."
Li Wei was rambling on when he felt his clothes being tugged.
When Li Wei turned around and saw no one, he thought it was a ghost, but then his foot was stepped on.
"So what if you're 1.8 meters tall! You look down on me, a 1.3-meter-tall old man! You're just an old, blind, stinky uncle!"
Li Wei looked helplessly at the little girl in front of him. "Don't blame me if you're not tall enough. Besides, you went from a perverted old man to a smelly old man too fast."
A naturally outgoing and friendly little devil.
Li Wei asked
"Goto, what's the matter?"
Goto's face darkened, and he pointed at the female corpse.
"Uncle, are you in charge of maintaining public order? Senior Meiyue is very timid. I don't believe she would dare to commit suicide unless she was completely desperate. Last night she told me that she hoped you could rescue her family."
This morning I saw several adults you rescued sneaking into her dorm room, and she's definitely not the only victim.
Holy crap! Even in this situation, they still have the energy to do rape? The diversity of humanity has truly broadened Li Wei's horizons. (This is a true story from the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and there were quite a few.)
Li Wei turned his head and pointed at a few people on the outer edge of the crowd, saying...
"You few go and call ten guards over here."
Too many people and mixed-gender accommodations would cause trouble, so Li Wei fired two shots into the air to stun everyone, then picked up the megaphone and shouted again.
"All the women are in this building. All the men, grab your bedding and assemble. You're all going to sleep in this abandoned building later."
Goto, wait a moment.
When the guards arrived, Li Wei pointed to the male group and spoke.
"Point out all the guys you see."
After saying that, he nodded to the guard, signaling him to pull the person out.
Following the identification, several assassins immediately went in to apprehend the person, and anyone who dared to resist was punched to death and then dragged out.
"It wasn't me, it wasn't me!"
"You're not a police officer, you have no right to abuse your power."
Li Wei ignored these idiots who were shouting and yelled at the women watching the commotion through a megaphone.
"Are there any people coming forward to identify us now? Please rest assured, there is no distinction based on identity or gender. We treat everyone equally. Our rule is fairness, absolute fairness."
After waiting for a while and no one came forward to identify the perpetrator, Li Wei stopped caring. He figured it would be easier to manage by making an example of someone, and all criminals should die.
Pointing to the streetlights in the school.
"Let them swing on their necks, and after they've been turned into zombies by the moonlight, chop them to pieces."
After saying that, he took out two pistols and handed them to Goto.
"Find a few women, two to a group, to take turns guarding the entrance to the girls' dormitory. They don't have to work during the day. If any man dares to force his way in, I allow you to kill him first and question him later."
After saying that, he looked at the male group that had turned into quails and started cursing.
"You think you have endless energy? Go find tools to chop down trees, make barricades, and whittle wooden spears. You're not allowed to sleep until noon."
At this moment, a middle-aged office worker raised his hand to ask a question.
"Sir, do we, as married couples, have to separate from our families? I still have elderly parents to take care of."
"Same here, you'd better hold back. Once we've taken over the county town and we have enough houses, you can slowly reunite."
It's only a matter of time before the county is cleared out. No one can fight a protracted war with the undead unless they are completely crushed. As long as they can trade one for one, these guys will only get stronger as the fight goes on.
Once the security issue was resolved, Li Wei immediately went to the faculty building. Just as reported, the campfire under the spiral sword had shrunk.
This troublesome scene left Li Wei scratching his head, wondering how to fill the fire. Could he possibly stuff someone inside and burn them?
Two clumps of souls were thrown in, and the flames were instantly absorbed, but the flames remained in a half-dead state.
Then he threw out a human black essence, which was absorbed instantly, but the flames did not react.
Li Wei reached out to touch the spiral sword, intending to ask the Fire Keeper what was going on, but his hand had barely touched the hilt.
"Fire...materials...protection...stabilization..."
The faint sound startled Li Wei. Huh, what's going on? Has the First Flame become a spirit? But thinking of the flame that crawled out of his lighter when he transmigrated, it probably really has become a spirit.
"Can you speak louder? I can't hear you! Hey! What's wrong with you?"
Perhaps because Chu Huo felt that Li Wei, this Muggle, couldn't be dealt with through words, the flame shrank again.
But when they showed Li Wei a page with "Soul 0, Humanity 0," Li Wei understood.
I tried throwing in a soul, and watched as the 2000 souls vanished in a second. I realized it wasn't useless; I just hadn't thrown in enough.
Throw in all the soul and humanity you have, and the flames burst forth.
