After a series of hardships, Liu Yu and his group continued their journey.
That day, they entered a village that appeared peaceful and serene. The houses in the village were arranged in a pleasing, orderly fashion, and wisps of smoke rose from their chimneys; everything seemed perfect.
Liu Yu stretched and said, "This place looks nice, let's rest here for a while."
Everyone nodded in agreement and entered the village.
As soon as they entered the village, they saw an old man sitting in the doorway, basking in the sun. Liu Yu went up to him and said, "Grandpa, we're just passing by and would like to ask for a drink of water."
The old man looked up at them with a strange look in his eyes, but still pointed to the well next to him.
Liu Yu thanked the old man and went to the well to fetch water. When he lifted the bucket, he noticed a strange shadow in the water, which looked like a distorted face.

Xu Xian ran over and asked, "What's wrong?"

Everyone looked into the well, but there was nothing there.

They continued walking and found that there was no one in the village.

Just then, a child ran out of a house, saw them, and then screamed and ran back inside.

They entered the room, which was filled with a pungent smell. In a corner of the room, the child was huddled under the table, trembling.

The child said tremblingly, "You must leave quickly, there's a monster here!"
Liu Yu and the others were startled: "A monster? Where is it?"
The child pointed out the window: "They'll come out at night."
Liu Yu and his group decided to find a place to stay in the village first and see what was going on that night.
Night fell, and the village was plunged into darkness. Liu Yu and the others hid in a house, too afraid to make a sound.
Suddenly, a strange sound came from outside, like someone crying or laughing at the same time.
Liu Yu looked out the window and saw a group of figures moving in the moonlight.
"My God, there really is a monster!" Liu Yu was so scared she almost screamed.
Xu Xian gripped Bai Suzhen's arm tightly: "What should we do?"
Xiaoqing said, "Don't be afraid, I'm here!"
They quietly opened the door and went out.
The monsters immediately surrounded them upon seeing them. Only then did Liu Yu realize that these monsters were strangely shaped; some had three eyes, and some had a pair of wings.
A monster bared its fangs and brandished its claws, saying, "You humans, how dare you trespass into our village!"
Liu Yu stammered, "Misunderstanding, misunderstanding. We didn't know this was your village."
Another monster said, "Now that you're here, you're not leaving!"
As they spoke, the monsters pounced on them.
Xiaoqing brandished her sword and fought against the monsters. Liu Yu also picked up a stick and waved it around haphazardly.

Bai Suzhen then used her magic to help Xiaoqing.
Xu Xian, trembling with fear, cried out, "Amitabha, Amitabha..."
Just as they were locked in a fierce battle, a burst of laughter suddenly rang out.

Everyone stopped and looked in the direction the sound came from. A fat monster emerged.
The fat monster said, "Stop fighting, stop fighting, this is a misunderstanding."
Liu Yu, panting heavily, said, "Misunderstanding? You scared us half to death."
The fat monster said, "Few outsiders come to our village, so everyone is quite nervous."
It turns out that these monsters weren't bad people; they just looked a bit strange.

The monsters apologized and invited Liu Yu and his friends to their homes.

The system said, "These monsters' treasures have been stolen by an evil wizard. You must help them get them back."
