Chapter Seven: The Mystery in the Mirror - Escaping Danger
In the critical moment when the cave was collapsing, Liu Yu, Bai Suzhen, and Xiaoqing ran frantically towards the outside with all their might. Rocks kept falling from above, and the ground was shaking violently, as if the whole world was about to be destroyed.
"Run!" Liu Yu shouted, gripping the Qiankun Mirror tightly in his hand, afraid of damaging it in the slightest.
Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing followed behind him, their skirts fluttering, their expressions tense but showing no sign of backing down.
Just as a huge boulder was about to smash into Xiaoqing, Bai Suzhen suddenly pushed her away, but her arm was grazed by the edge of the boulder.
"Sister!" Xiaoqing exclaimed.
"Don't worry about me, let's go!" Bai Suzhen shouted.
Liu Yu glanced back, her heart tightening, but her steps did not slow down in the slightest.
Finally, just before the cave completely collapsed, they burst out of the cave entrance. The three of them collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.
"Thank goodness we escaped." Liu Yu said, still shaken, as she looked at the now ruined cave entrance.
Bai Suzhen checked her injuries and said with a smile, "It's just a minor injury, nothing serious."
Xiaoqing looked at the Qiankun Mirror in Liu Yu's hand with excitement: "What's so magical about this mirror?"
Liu Yu stood up and carefully examined the Qiankun Mirror. The frame of the mirror was carved with complex and mysterious patterns, and the surface emitted a faint light.
"I don't know either, but since it was so difficult to obtain, it must have some extraordinary function," Liu Yu said, gently stroking the mirror.
Just then, the Qiankun Mirror suddenly shone brightly, enveloping the three of them. Liu Yu felt a dizzying sensation as the scene before him instantly changed.
When the light faded, they found themselves in a strange place. All around them was a desolate desert, the sun blazing down, and waves of heat rolling in.
"Where is this?" Xiaoqing asked in surprise.
Liu Yu shook her head, feeling completely lost.
Just as they were filled with doubt, a mysterious voice rang in their ears: "Welcome to the world in the mirror. Only by passing the test can you leave here and master the power of the Qiankun Mirror."
Liu Yu frowned and asked loudly, "What kind of test?"
The mysterious voice no longer answered.
Left with no other choice, they began to trek through the desert, searching for a way out. They hadn't walked for long when they became unbearably thirsty.
"This can't go on; we need to find a water source," Liu Yu said.
Bai Suzhen nodded: "I'll try using magic to see if I can sense the location of the water source."
She closed her eyes, cast a spell, and after a moment opened them, pointing in a direction and saying, "There might be water over there."
They followed the direction Bai Suzhen had indicated and indeed found a small oasis. In the oasis was a clear spring, its water crystal clear.
The three of them hurriedly ran over and drank the spring water in large gulps, immediately feeling refreshed.
"At least we've solved our immediate problem," Liu Yu said.
However, before they could rest for long, a group of giant scorpions emerged from the sand and attacked them.
These scorpions were all over a person's height, and the stingers on their tails gleamed coldly.
Liu Yu drew her short sword and faced the scorpion. Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing also used their magic to engage in a fierce battle with the scorpion.
After a fierce battle, the scorpions were all eliminated, but Liu Yu was also injured.
"Young Master Liu, how are you?" Bai Suzhen asked with concern.
Liu Yu gritted her teeth and said, "I'm fine, just some superficial injuries."
Just then, a huge tornado suddenly appeared in the sky and swept towards them.
"Run!" Liu Yu shouted.
They ran for their lives, but the tornado was moving so fast that it was about to engulf them.
At the critical moment, Liu Yu suddenly thought of the Qiankun Mirror. He raised the mirror and shouted, "Qiankun Mirror, help us!"
A miracle occurred: the Qiankun Mirror emitted a beam of light that blocked the tornado. However, the tornado was extremely powerful, and the light gradually weakened.
"Let's pour our power into the Qiankun Mirror together!" Liu Yu shouted.
Upon hearing this, Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing poured their magical power into the Qiankun Mirror. With their combined efforts, the Qiankun Mirror's light finally became powerful enough to repel the tornado.
After the tornado dissipated, they collapsed to the ground, exhausted once again.
"The trials in this mirror world are too difficult," Xiaoqing complained.
Liu Yu, panting heavily, said, "But as long as we don't give up, we will definitely pass the test."
After a short rest, they continued their journey. Along the way, they encountered various dangers, such as quicksand traps and fire monsters, but they overcame them all with courage and wisdom.
Finally, they arrived at an ancient castle. The castle gates were tightly shut, and a line of words was inscribed on the gates: "Solve the riddle before you can enter."
Liu Yu stared at the line of text and fell into deep thought.
After a while, he seemed to have thought of something, walked to the door, and gently pressed down on a few protruding stones.
With a creak, the door slowly opened.
They entered the castle, where a mysterious atmosphere permeated the air. In the very center of the hall stood a huge chessboard, its pieces gleaming.
The mysterious voice sounded again: "This is the final test. Only by winning the game can you leave the world in the mirror and obtain the power of the Qiankun Mirror."
Liu Yu took a deep breath, sat down at the chessboard, and began to think of a strategy. Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing watched nervously from the side.
The game was very intense, with Liu Yu proceeding cautiously and engaging in a battle of wits with his opponent.
After a hard-fought battle, Liu Yu finally found his opponent's weakness and won the game.
Just as they were cheering and jumping for joy, a flash of light, and they were back in the real world.
The Qiankun Mirror in Liu Yu's hand radiated a powerful force, and he felt that he was able to control this force.
“Now, we no longer need to be afraid of Fahai,” Liu Yu said confidently.
However, before they could even celebrate, they discovered that Fahai had found them with a large group of monks.
"Bai Suzhen, today is your end!" Fahai shouted.
Liu Yu sneered: "Fahai, don't be so arrogant. With the Qiankun Mirror here, we are not afraid of you!"
A great battle is about to break out. Will Liu Yu, Bai Suzhen, and Xiaoqing be able to defeat Fahai with the power of the Qiankun Mirror? What will become of their fate?
