Chapter 325 The whole story
Chapter 325 The whole story
The Titan Eagle folded its wings in frustration, its heart filled with annoyance and helplessness. Today was truly the worst day of its life; it never imagined it would find itself in such a wretched state.
As a Titan Eagle that has just advanced to the Silver level, it still has a limited understanding of many of the rules of this world.
Acid rain that happens once in a century? He'd never even heard of it.
It wasn't until the acid rain started pouring down that it realized it was completely unprepared.
As the king of the sky, it could have easily flown above the clouds and used its flight to escape the disaster. Although the storm raging in the sky was fierce, it could have soared in the air for months with the help of the wind as long as it spread its wings.
However, the monsters of this world share a common flaw—due to the abundance of resources, they rarely consider energy conservation or the ability to withstand hunger during their evolution. The Titan Eagle was no exception. After flying in the air for several days, hunger overwhelmed it like a tidal wave. Having not felt hunger for decades, the Titan Eagle could no longer bear it and had to fly back beneath the rain clouds to search for food.
But the world under the acid rain has changed. The surviving monsters either possess extraordinary skills, hide underground, or huddle together for warmth.
After searching for a long time in the acid rain, the Titan Eagle finally discovered a small settlement sheltered by the Treants.
The towering treant used its magical shield and dense canopy to create a small sanctuary, where many monsters gathered.
For the treant, this acid rain is not enough to cause it any harm. The treant's thick skin, high health, high magic power, and high regeneration allow it to survive for a long time.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this acid rain will likely pass by uneventfully, just like before.
In the eyes of the Titan Eagle, these monsters were nothing more than its meal. Desperate to fill its stomach, it swooped down without hesitation, attacking the Treant's sanctuary. The small animals beneath the canopy screamed in agony. Awakened, the Treant saw that his carefully protected Haki cats and Haki monkeys had become the Titan Eagle's prey, and his spirit instantly collapsed.
The treant roared in fury, its previously gentle nature now completely ignited. Without hesitation, it unleashed its most powerful attack, stunning the Titan Eagle with a single blow.
The Titan Eagle was no pushover; enraged by the Treant, it immediately launched a counterattack. The two powerful monsters clashed fiercely in the acid rain, the commotion shaking the entire area.
This chaotic battle also attracted an uninvited guest—the Mountain Giant. It had long coveted the Treants, wanting to transform them into its own weapons. By obtaining the Treants, it could return to its own kind, challenge its leader, and seize mating rights.
However, the Tree People are so powerful that the Mountain Giant alone could not possibly defeat them all at once.
So it chose to lie in wait nearby, training itself while waiting for its opportunity.
For the long-lived mountain giants, a few decades of waiting is but a blink of an eye.
Seeing the Titan Eagle locked in fierce combat with the Treant and Shadow Leopard, it was secretly delighted, feeling its opportunity had finally arrived. So, without hesitation, it joined the fray, hoping to reap the benefits from the chaos.
Three powerful monsters clashed fiercely in the acid rain, the aftershocks of the battle shaking the earth and sending the acid rain flying everywhere.
However, the Titan Eagle was hungry and lacked strength. The Treants were not to be trifled with either. Before the Titan Giants arrived, the Treants seized a meal for the Titan Eagle and grabbed its body. A large number of trees and vines grew, locking the Titan Eagle firmly to their bodies, almost ruining the Titan Eagle's strongest mobility.
The Titan Eagle couldn't break free from the Treant's bindings no matter what it did. Enraged, it unleashed a massive amount of magical energy, flapping its wings as if trying to uproot the Treant.
He, a mere monster, couldn't do it alone, so the mountain giant came to his aid.
The mountain giants, who rushed over, withstood the treant's attack with their rocky skin and, together with the Titan Eagle, uprooted the treant.
Titan Eagle possessed astonishing strength, and with the treant in his arms, he took to the air. His meaning was clear: if you don't want to die, let go, or I'll make you fly.
However, the childless cat tree was particularly stubborn, clinging tightly to the Titan Eagle and refusing to let go.
The Titan Eagle lifted the Treant into the air, attacking it with its talons. The Treant sharpened its branches, piercing the Titan Eagle's body.
The two monsters fought as they flew through the air, attracting an uninvited guest—a shadow leopard that was about to die.
This Shadow Leopard was a newly emerged Silver-level assassin within the last 100 years, completely unaware of acid rain. He had no way to hide; this fragile assassin, with low health, had been exposed to acid rain for several days, his body covered in sores, and his life was nearing its end.
But as the saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining. As he walked, he saw a tree-man flying in the sky. In this rainforest, everyone knew that tree-men were masters of healing.
Shadow Leopard immediately felt that there was hope for his poisonous sores! As long as he saved the tree man and got an acquaintance to help him prolong his life, wouldn't he be able to live?
So the shadow leopard gave chase.
The mountain giant was running along when he suddenly noticed a walking fur coat over there. Double good news! I finally have my underwear too!
So the two underground started fighting too.
Finally, the Titan Eagle snapped off the Treant's branch, and the Treant fell from the sky, crashing to the ground not far away, before the next battle ensued.
They chased and fought their way through, and all four monsters were seriously injured. While catching their breath, they noticed that there were several other black iron-level monsters watching nearby.
Then, looking back, the eyes of the giant, the shadow leopard, and the titan eagle all lit up.
The Titan Eagle was dizzy with hunger. It hadn't eaten properly before strenuous exercise, and was nearly dead. Luckily, there were a few snacks and a place to shelter from the rain, where it could rest. Perfect!
Shadow Leopard was overjoyed. He had a doctor and a shelter—his luck was incredible! Once the treant healed his wounds, he could hide in the shelter, and the disaster would be over!
The mountain giant was ecstatic. "Those dark things inside look perfect as weapons," he thought. "With the tree heart in my hand and three black clubs on my back, I'll be invincible!"
