Chapter 241 Incompetent Fury
Chapter 241 Incompetent Fury
"Hey! Why don't you watch where you're going? You slipped again!" The guard frowned and hissed, "Are you an idiot?"
"I'm not," the girl said, confused.
"Then you're a pig!" the guard glared at her and said, "How can you fall so many times? I've walked this far and only fallen twice! And you've only gone halfway and you've already fallen three times!"
"Ah..." The girl looked at him blankly, not knowing what she had done wrong.
The heavy rain continued to fall, pelting their faces and clothes.
The guard sighed helplessly and resigned himself to his fate, saying, "Fine! Fine! Since we can't find the Ninth Prince, I'll escort you back to the palace! What bad luck!"
In the heavy rain, the guard led the dazed girl forward.
"Oh dear! You've fallen again?" The guard looked at the person lying on the ground and sighed helplessly.
Then he bent down in front of the girl and took her hand: "Get up!"
"Hiss—" The guard's face turned pale, and he suddenly gasped.
"What's wrong?!" The girl stared at him with wide, bewildered eyes, looking completely lost.
The guard raised his hand and found that it was cut, with a sharp arrow sticking out of the wound.
"This is... an arrow?! How could you have an arrow on you?!" the guard exclaimed in horror.
The girl shook her head blankly.
The guard's face turned deathly pale, and cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
"Who...who are you?!" the guard asked in a trembling voice, shrinking back repeatedly.
"I don't know either," the girl said blankly.
"You witch!" The guard looked at her in horror, pulled out a dagger from behind his back, and shouted at her, "You witch! Die!"
As he spoke, he took the dagger and stabbed it fiercely into the girl's chest.
The rain poured down, the wind howled, and lightning flashed and thunder roared.
"Crash! Crash!"
The rain hit the ground, making a harsh sound.
The guard thrust a dagger into the girl's chest, the sharp blade gleaming coldly in the downpour.
"You...you want to kill me?" The girl's eyes narrowed, and an expression of disbelief appeared on her face.
"You...you're not human!" the guard gritted his teeth and said hatefully, his face filled with fear and anger, as if he had seen some kind of monster.
"I'm not human..." The girl looked at him, a look of confusion in her eyes: "Who am I?"
"Die!" the guard roared, plunging his dagger into her heart.
"Swoosh—" A sharp dagger pierced her chest, and blood splattered out, staining the girl's black clothes red.
"Hmm..." The girl frowned and groaned, her body collapsing weakly to the ground.
"Swoosh—" The guard withdrew his hand, the dagger stained bright red with blood.
The guard stared in horror at the motionless girl lying on the ground, then hid the dagger behind his back and quickly turned to leave.
"Who are you?" Just as the guard left, a cold voice suddenly came from behind.
The guard trembled, his face showing shock and fear.
How... is this possible? He clearly stabbed her in the heart just now!
The guard turned around and looked at the girl lying on the ground with a look of horror.
The girl was lying on the ground, one hand clutching the dagger to her heart, blood dripping from her fingertips.
“You…” The guard stared at her in disbelief.
The girl struggled to sit up, her face pale and her forehead covered in cold sweat.
However, a sharp, cold light flashed in her eyes: "Who am I... I'm curious about that too."
The girl lowered her head, her eyes flashing with a cold, sinister light.
"You witch!" The guard looked at her in horror and stabbed at her again with his dagger.
The girl raised her head, her eyes cold and sharp.
The guard trembled. He had never seen such a cold and sharp gaze before, and he couldn't help but take a step back in fright.
"Ah! I'm going to kill you, you witch!" the guard cried out in terror, raising his dagger and stabbing down hard.
"laugh--"
A sharp pain shot through her chest, and the girl's face turned deathly pale as she collapsed to the ground once more.
"Cough cough..." The girl coughed violently, and blood spilled from her lips.
"Die!" the guard shouted, and plunged the dagger into the girl's heart once more.
"laugh--"
"what!"
A sharp dagger pierced his chest, and blood gushed out, dripping onto his black clothes and staining them with red flowers.
"what!"
The girl screamed in agony, her face turning deathly pale, her forehead covered in cold sweat, and blood smeared on her lips.
"You..." The guard looked at the person lying motionless on the ground and kept backing away.
"Huff...huff..." The guard was panting heavily, his heart pounding, and his face was filled with terror.
He looked down at his hands, which were covered in bright red blood that was still dripping down.
"Ah! A ghost!" the guard cried out in alarm, turned around and ran away.
"laugh--"
At that moment, a sharp arrow suddenly flew from the torrential rain and pierced the guard's back.
"Ah!" the guard screamed and fell to the ground.
He had just gotten up from the ground and hadn't even stood up yet when a sharp gust of wind swept fiercely towards his chest.
"Pfft—" The guard's body was swept away by the sharp sword energy and fell into the cold rain.
"You..." The guard spat out a mouthful of blood, staring in disbelief at the young man and Yang Ling walking towards him.
"Who sent you?" Yang Ling stared at him sharply, her face filled with anger.
The guard trembled, gritted his teeth, and said hatefully, "Die!"
"laugh--"
As he spoke, he pulled out a poison from his pocket and crushed it in his palm.
"Ah!" The guard's face changed drastically, and he screamed in agony.
Soon after, his entire body began to fester and turn into a pool of blood, leaving no trace of his body.
Yang Ling stared blankly at the scene before her, and involuntarily took a step back.
At that moment, he suddenly noticed that there was a person lying on the ground!
A black figure lay on the ground, covered in blood.
“She…” Yang Ling’s expression changed, and he quickly stepped forward to help the girl up.
His face turned deathly pale when his gaze fell on the girl's chest.
"How...how did someone stab you in the chest?!" Yang Ling said in a trembling voice.
The girl weakly looked up at him, her face showing confusion and pain.
Yang Ling quickly raised his hand to check her pulse, his brows furrowing slightly: "You've been poisoned! Who could be so cruel!"
"Ninth Prince."
Just then, someone else came running from a distance.
"Something has happened to Her Majesty the Empress, and she wants you to go there immediately," the messenger said anxiously.
"Okay." Yang Ling nodded, then took off his coat and draped it over the girl.
